We’re having a blast here at Media Now STL! Campers are participating in a range of exciting activities, from field trips to guest speakers! Check out some of Monday’s highlights.

Guest speakers discussed topics from curiosity to Ferguson. The Writing class heard from indie folk band Letter to Memphis, while St. Louis Post-Dispatch Cardinal Beat Writer Derrick Goold spoke to the Social Media.

Despite the party going on at the Maryville campus, some groups got the opportunity to travel across St. Louis to practice journalism skills in a real-world setting.

Later in the afternoon, campers combined their creativity and desire to innovate to produce a product in a competition. Some campers designed a media-themed bus, while others dressed a media-themed superhero.
