In Media Now’s Mobile Video and Live Broadcasting class, instructor Matt Rasgorshek said he plans to teach students livestreaming in order to enhance their knowledge of the video field, which he said is growing in both size and popularity. Students will spend Monday afternoon studying an aspect of video, Rasgorshek said.

“It is a new and exciting way to tell a story. It’s so insanely simple nowadays to do livestreaming,” Rasgorshek said “People want to see events when they can’t make it. They want to be there right in the middle of the action, and it just seems to be the hottest video trend right now.”

Aerin Johnson, student and aspiring broadcaster, said she anticipated Monday’s livestreaming class to be “really fun” and said she hopes to gain experience in both editing and working behind the scenes of videography with the day’s lesson.
