“What would you say was the most memorable moment of this year so far?”
“I figured it didn’t come yet.”
“People’s viewpoints of other people, how people easily judge other people… That’s what I would change.”
“If I weren’t here right now, I’d be watching the U.S./Portugal match.”
“What is the most life changing event you have experienced so far?”
“I went to Africa to see my brother in the Peace Corps, I was scared for him because I thought he was going to get shot by African Mobs!”
“My favorite color is Purple. I don’t really know why it is. It’s changed a lot throughout my life. It was pink, then blue, and now purple. It just makes me happy.”
“If you could give advice to a large group of people what would it be?”
“Recently I’ve been talking to my son about the Little Engine That Could and how he said, ‘I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.’ He never just sat at the bottom of the hill, right?”
“I didn’t go to high school in America.”
“When I was born my ears were pretty much glued to my head. The were like bent in and connected to my face.”
What is your greatest fear
“Being eaten by Sasquatch
“what is the most dangerous thing you have done?” “I have not really done anything i am kind of a goodie goodie.”
I love my sister so much. Lately we’ve been watching shows that aren’t really appropriate for her since she’s 10. I’ve been teaching her about things like the Nazis because I don’t want her to learn that from anyone else. I’m teaching her how horrible the world is sometimes, myself.
The happiest moment of my life was when I got my first video camera. It was my tenth or eleventh Christmas and my dad got it for me and I had no idea I was getting it. And I opened it up and I was like, ‘Oh my God. What did you just do?’
“I am from Vietnam. I’m majoring in finance, but I do not like it. My parents are making me. I like art, like playing piano, but I just do that for fun.”
“I named my hair Martha”
How would you, in one sentence, describe your life motto?
“Consistent work. Be responsible- whatever you have, like your goal- and be brave. Don’t give up, just keep doing what you do.”
“I had a night with my friends where we bought like three hundred chicken nuggets: Nug Night 2k14! That was my favorite moment of the summer so far. “
I like sports and I really love journalism. One of my dreams is one day is to work at ESPN. I also want to be a good husband and father.
What do you think your life will be like in five years?
“I’ve already picked out a two-story box on the riverfront.”
“I’d like to be the opposite of the old ideal American dream. No white picket fence in front o fsome cliche house, 2kids, with a dog named spike. I want to do something different, cool, and interesting. So that when people ask me what I want to do with my life, I can say I’ve already done something amazing.”
