June 22, 2015
To kick of the second day of Media Now STL, instructors Sarah Nichols and Matt Rasgorshek informed the campers about two very important aspects of journalism; curiosity and video.

Rasgorshek began the presentations with tips to improve video. According to Rasgorshek, it is essential to include a variety of different shots and sounds.
#MNstl15 Video is a must, but plan the story. @Matt_Raz says no boring classroom footage. Shoot for viz appeal, variety. Close-ups = payoff. — Sarah Nichols (@SarahJNichols) June 22, 2015

Nichols followed up Rasgorshek with the reasons curiosity is so important in the journalism world.
“Curiosity, if you want to do something with it, takes courage,” said Nichols.
